The Emmys have come and gone but Emmy couture endures. We can’t get some of the dresses we saw out of our heads.

As much buzz as there is around the nominees and the winners, a certain amount of attention will always be paid as the stars come out to play in their best threads.

Here are some of the frocks that we just could not take our eyes off.

Poppy Delevingne’s Giambattista Valli gown was a next level mermaid gown with cascading ruffles all down the back. It was definitely extra, but in the best way possible.

3. Erika De La Cruz

Television host Erika De La Cruz’s canary yellow gown by Napostol Couture stood out in all the right ways.

As big a star as her husband, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (aka Jamie Lannister) is, we found it hard to stop looking at Nukaaka Coster-Waldau’s ensemble, which seemed to perfectly suit her Greenlandic roots.

5. Jessica Biel

Ugh, we could look at this Ralph & Russo dress forever. Seriously. So many great elements to this piece – we love the structure, the ruffles, the innovative use of scalloping. It all works.

6. Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum is one of those people who could wear a potato sack and she’d probably still look amazing. So it’s no wonder that she looks stellar in this divine Zac Posen dress. Gorge.

Rainbow Barris, author and wife of Black-ish‘s creator Kenya Barris, looked stunning in her Michael Leyva gown. So much delicate prettiness, so much to like.

8. Thandie Newton

Thandie Newton took home an Emmy for her efforts in Westworld but we think her pink number by Brandon Maxwell is something special too. It was gorgeous in its simplicity, cascading down and sitting in all the right places.

9. Allison Janney

Showing that age is nothing but a number, Allison Janney shone in this Prabal Gurung sequinned number.

I’m excited to wear this beautiful @j_mendel gown (again.) The first time was to the @vogueindia Women of the Year awards last October in Mumbai. I think we should stop sending the message to young women and girls that we all have these endless closets of couture we’re never allowed to wear more than once. It seems wasteful not to enjoy these dresses. The hours that it takes, the artisans’ labor and the gorgeous fabrics all deserve to be worn again and treasured. Also instead of fretting so much with fittings, I’d rather go to the park and throw a ball with #littlehands or tinker in the kitchen with her bonding over delicious food. I’m proud of everyone’s work that got @bravotopchef here to the Emmys and I’m proud to wear this gown again. 💃🏽 #emmys2018 #ladyinred #secondtimearound

This may be the second time she’s wearing it, but Padma Lakshmi undeniably brought the heat in a strappy J Mendel dress.
