5 of the Best Events for Le French Festival 2020
The French Festival is back. The 19th edition of Malaysia’s largest annual French event presents all things French, including films, food, art and champagne. Held from 19 March 2020 to 5 April 2020 around Kuala Lumpur, Penang and many more, here is a rundown of the top events to keep an eye out for.
1. Brew N’ Brush social painting
Self dubbed as the pioneers of social painting in Malaysia, Brew N’ Brush makes painting fun and easy for everyone, with experienced artists guiding you step by step in the process of making acrylic painting. Additionally, all painting supplies are included, along with a fresh cuppa or a glass of wine, so come alone or grab a partner and create your very own version of a masterpiece during Le French Festival!

2. Perfume crafting and champagne sipping

What can be more French than champagne and perfume? OLFAC3 and G.H.Mumm join forces to awaken your senses and unveil the secrets of perfumes and champagne. So if you’re ready to splurge for a special occasion during this year’s Le French Festival, be ready to experiment with aromas and sip some bubble as you learn to craft your own perfume.

3. Combating stereotypes with art
“Come as you are” is a breakthrough art exhibition for 2020’s Le French Festival. It showcases several works by acclaimed French artists, who advocate for combating stereotypes with powerful visual imagery. This intriguing collection of pop art in various mediums like paintings and sculptures is unlike anything you’ve seen and represents an eye-opener for people from all walks of life.

4. Chocoganc workshop

5. French films

Le French Festival would be incomplete without movie screenings. This year’s festival brings the best comedies, family dramas, adventures, historical tales and animation to Malaysia’s big screens. Set to be screened in GSC Mid Valley, MyTown, 1 Utama, these films provide an insight into France’s diverse culture and heritage.
