Originally launched in 2010, UNRESERVED was the lifestyle supplement to The Malaysian Reserve, producing 150 issues over seven years. It was the brainchild of Kassandra Kassim who both created and published it for the first two years under the ownership of Redberry.

As the brave new voice for the region’s affluent audience, UNRESERVED fills the void for local and regional stories; those that have fallen through the cracks, or told from a foreign perspective, or sadly not told at all. Bringing the world into Southeast Asia as well as putting Southeast Asia on the map, UNRESERVED sheds light unto the affluent of the region with style and verve.
Although Kassandra Kassim started in advertising, she is most remembered for her work on Radio. In 1996, New Straits Times readers voted her “Favorite Radio DJ”. She has been the country’s MC at the opening of the Commonwealth Games 1998, an editorial voice in the NST and a broadcasting host on radio and television for RTM. She was TAG Heuer’s first female ambassador for its watches until she traded her more public career for a creative management role at CNN in Hong Kong. After 8 years in Hong Kong and the UK, a C-suite job at Redberry Group brought her back home where she, amongst her corporate and sales duties, launched the Redberry brand, UNRESERVED Magazine as well as the Newsmakers Unplugged TV Show. In 2017 her company Newsmakers Productions Sdn Bhd bought over UNRESERVED Sdn Bhd from Redberry.
