For it was a day which marked the assault on Capitol Hill during a Congressional session to certify the electoral vote and Joe Biden’s election victory, that has left four dead.

More drama unfolded as Vice President Pence’s speech signalled his split from President Trump, while most (not all) Republicans and Democrats stood united in their disgust over the violence lobbied at lawmakers and senators. Many believe Trump instigated the attacks with his stirring and untruthful rhetoric in the press and social media, which has prompted Twitter and Facebook to warn Trump that his accounts may be permanently deleted should he continue to express inflammatory remarks.
