Glenn Fredly Deviano Latuihamallo, one of Indonesia’s most renowned R&B singer and songwriter, passed away on 8 April 2020 at 6pm, at Setia Mitra Hospital in South Jakarta.

According to various Indonesian press, the artist’s cause of death is still not formally known. However, it is said that the 44-year old might have died of inflammation of the brain or meningitis.

For those who would like to pay their last respects to the award-winning musician, his funeral will be broadcast on Instagram Live. This is done so that fans can stay home and remain in COVID-19 self-isolation to bid goodbye to the talented singer-songwriter.

In a statement, the family apologised for not being able to receive those who would like to pay their last respects to the late artiste, due to the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Your prayers, from wherever you are, would be sufficient to comfort us during these difficult times,” it said.

Our hearts go out to Fredly’s family and friends.
