COVID-19 Breaks Through The Doors of The White House
US President Donald Trump tweeted that he and his wife Melania have tested positive for Covid 19. This is no small irony as he has consistently denigrated those who wear masks and CNN reported that “Trump has previously expressed concern that aides contracting coronavirus would undercut his message that the outbreak is waning and states should accelerate reopening”, according to a person who had spoken with him.
Leading up to the Presidential elections slated for November, Trump was involved in several campaign rallies and now the US faces an unprecedented crisis.
Donald and Melania Trumps’ positive test results further reinforces the importance of wearing a mask and social distancing – no one is safe from the virus.
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.

Donald Trump joins a list of world leaders who have contracted COVID-19, from Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to British Premier Boris Johnson. Johnson stated post recovery, “It was a tough old moment, I won’t deny it. They had a strategy to deal with a ‘death of Stalin’-type scenario.”
We wish the Trumps well and hope that the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his family remain in good health after being in close proximity to the President in the recent debate.
