Did Deborah Henry Make a Hole-in-One at The Els Club in Langkawi?
Golf is one of those sports that you can love and hate on the same day. It’s a battle of the minds; your own mind against your own mind. Andrew Leci wrote a brilliant article once on “why golf is one of the hardest sports on the planet”.
On the recent Enrich Luxe Retreats in Langkawi, the Enrich members spent a morning battling their minds at The Els Club Teluk Datai. The golf course, designed by golf legend Ernie Els, is uniquely nestled between the mountains and the Andaman Sea, flanked with beautiful tree-lines and a dense forest.
While some guests played a full round of 18 holes and others took lessons, host Deborah Henry explored the course with Resident Pro South African P-J Van Merch. Hole 5 is a par-3 with the green positioned right next to the beach with stunning views of the Andaman Sea. On average only three people a year manage to score a hole-in-one. Upon hearing that, Deborah wanted to be amongst them.
