Grammy-nominated Swedish DJ Tim Berling, better known as Avicii, was found dead in Oman on Friday.
His representatives announced his death and added that “The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time”.
No cause of death has been reported. Avicii’s claim to fame included songs such as Wake Me Up and Levels. Avicii had struggled with substance abuse before he retired from the scene.
The news has left fans, and those in the industry, shocked and devastated, taking to social media to express their grief.
