Djibril Cissé Thinks Russia Have a Chance at Winning the World Cup
Renowned for his speed and his no-nonsense, passionate style of play, Djibril Cisse has had an illustrious and storied football career that has seen him play in French clubs Auxerre and Marseilles, the English Premier League, the Italian Serie A league, the Super League in Greece with Panathinaikos and also for a stint in the Russian Professional Football League.
Needless to say, he’s been around the block and knows his stuff.
And also considering he’s broken his leg twice in his career, the fact that he is still playing (he is currently with Swiss team Yverdon) is quite amazing.
A Champs League and FA Cup winner, he’s also made numerous appearances for France at three World Cups – 2002, 2006 and 2010. Here’s what he has to say about this year’s tournament.
