A Wintry Affair For Two is a five-course menu that showcases what Nobu does best – marrying delicate Japanese flavours with contemporary fine ingredients. Highlights on the menu include a tangy and delicate Steamed Lemon Sole with dry miso and yuzu olive, which can be upgraded to a Lobster Sake Soy Truffle course, and a Smoked Angus Beef Tenderloin marinated with Jalapeno Miso, which can also be upgraded to a Japanese Wagyu Beef.

If you’re one who appreciates sake and wine, the Sake & Wine Pairing For Two menu would be the one to consider. Seven courses of luxurious dishes begin with a tasting platter of  Oyster and Foie Gras with Caviar, Toro Butter Lettuce with Spicy Miso and Crispy Kataifi, Hamachi Amazu Basil with Pickled Mango, Parmesan Cheese and Micro Greens, and Salmon Kelp with Ponzu Sauce. This is all paired with a glass of Mumm Grand Cordon Brut champagne.

The main courses of Lobster Sake Soy Truffle and Smoked Japanese Wagyu Beef are paired with Joseph Drouhin St. Veran Chardonnay and a Norton Colleccion Malbec from Argentina respectively. The classic Asian flavours of the lobster pair well with the crisp Chardonnay while the flavours of the meltingly tender wagyu are highlighted by the full bodied Malbec.

Ending both menus on a sweet note is a refreshing dessert of Green Tea Mince Pie Flambé with Rice Ice Cream that balances the cold with warm, on a plate that is as pretty as a Japanese garden.
