Cue a new virtual bar experience called Bar-United, launched by Chivas Regal Malaysia where you can order cocktails from your neighbourhood bars, sit in on chats with people from the local bar scene and even hang out with friends old and new at your very own table.

 Not only do you get to experience a bar setting wherever you are, the set up also benefits the local food and beverage industry with the collaborations between them and Bar-United. Needless to say, with the current climate, it’s a tough time for local businesses and this platform will help them endure the challenges they have been facing since social restrictions have been put in place.

The Hangout Arena

Once you have logged into Bar-United, you can click to join tables in the area, either with your friends or with strangers and get to know new people. There are video call and chat options, games and you can even purchase drinks for your friends at the table and if you want to make the table private for a special occasion, you can do so. However, the maximum number of four people can be at a table at one time, so it will have to be an intimate gathering. 

Bar-Tails

Miss sipping on your favourite cocktails? No worries as Bar-Tails gives you the option to order drinks and even bar snacks to be delivered to you or to be redeemed at the outlet physically. The list of bars is growing and currently Astor Bar, 61 Monarchy, Hyde 53M, Three X Co, Dissolved Solids, Circa, Saro Lounge, Happy Stan and The Iron Fairies, are at your service.

Bar-Talks

It’s just like how you would be having intimate conversations with professionals in bars if you happened to bump into them on a night out, only in this case, they are a special virtual guest imparting their knowledge in the industry. Check out their guest shift, listen to their talks or join them in a virtual tasting. Some guests lined up in the near future includev Roen Cian Nagapan, Evelyn Marietta, and Dennis Lau who are Friends of Chivas, as well as bar owners Andrew Tan of 61 Monarchy and Hyde 53M, David Hans from Three X  Co, and KC of Circa and Saro Lounge.

Bar-United Points

Once you start shopping, you will be able to collect points and unlock achievements to redeem vouchers that can be used for Bar-United purchases as well as at the partner bars’ actual outlets. Just redeem and convert the points virtually at the Bar-United Points Redemption Kiosk at The Hangout Arena.

Coming soon will be Bar Live, with more live-streamed entertainment and interactive virtual experiences to support local talents whose live gigs have been affected by the pandemic. To make it more interactive, you will be able to send virtual gifts purchased through Bar-United to the performers.
