Just Staying Safe at Home Will Get You GrabFood Vouchers

The seasons of Ramadan and Raya are no doubt different this year. All of us are affected by COVID-19 and the implementation of restricted movement orders around the world had led to a shift in how we go about our daily lives.

Thankfully, there are those who are trying to lighten the burden of those affected. To help those in Malaysia ease into and adopt to new norms, Volvo Car Malaysia has launched ‘Ramadan Safe Pledge’ – a campaign that encourages social distancing, while rewarding those who pledge with RM10 GrabFood vouchers.

A Pledge for Social Distancing

The campaign takes form as a platform for Malaysians to reinforce their ‘stay at home’ commitment.

Participating is relatively simple. From 4 to 23 May 2020, participants will need to demonstrate solidarity by reposting on Instagram, one of five different images found on the Volvo Ramadan Safe Pledge Campaign site. Alternatively, the pledge can be done directly through Volvo Car Malaysia’s Instagram page by clicking on the link in the bio or through its Instagram Stories.

The campaign will run from 10am to 3pm daily. All postings will need to tag @VolvoCarMalaysia, accompanied by the hashtag #MYVolvoSafePledge. The vouchers will be emailed directly to successful participants via the email address used to sign the pledge. Each voucher has a validity of six months and successful participants are selected daily, on a first-pledge-first-repost basis.

What goes beyond is the sense of affirmation in everyone to play their role in flattening the curve, while our healthcare professionals continue to protect and safe lives.

“We hope that the daily 500 vouchers we give out will enable as many individuals as possible to purchase necessities such as food and groceries, from the safety of their homes,” comments Nalin Jain, Managing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia. The ideology of safety is a fundamental driving force for Volvo, he adds, making the campaign a true representation of their ethos.

And that’s not all. In conjunction with Hari Raya, Volvo Car Malaysia will be rolling out special offers from 1 May to 30 June 2020.
