Duchess of Cambridge Gives Birth to Third Child
Kensington Palace has announced that Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge have welcomed their third child, a boy.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.
The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.
The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

The Duchess, also known as Kate Middleton, had a safe delivery at 11.01am in UK time. She was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital earlier in the day. The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and the rest of the British royal family are all in the loop and are delighted, according to official tweets.

The third baby, whose name has not yet been announced, is now fifth in line to the British throne, after grandfather Prince of Wales, father Prince William, and older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Uncle Prince Harry, whose marriage to American actress Meghan Markle is happening on 19 May, has been bumped to sixth in the throne succession.
