Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recently announced the release of the Mercedes-Benz C 200, an all new modified version of the C-Class. The new release comes in a distinctly sportier package than its predecessor with a powerful 2.0 litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, sports suspension and an impressive top speed of 250 km/h and an acceleration of 0-100km/h in just 7.1 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Michael Jopp says the localised C-Class has been well accepted by customers and is one of the marque’s best-sellers in their vehicle range with over 20,000 units sold to date since its introduction in 2014. “As part of our continuous commitment to the local market, the premium mid-sized limousine model, the C 200 is upgraded with AMG line together with a host of enhancements including an even more dynamic engine, sports suspension, state-of-the-art digital infotainment system and Mercedes me connect. This model will further cater to the individual requirements of our esteemed customers,” says Jopp.
The new Mercedes C 200 AMG, however, is everything you expect a revamped version of the C-Class to be, with a new diamond radiator grille integrated and the iconic Mercedes-Benz star and pins in chrome. Meanwhile, the 18-inch AMG 5-spoke light-alloy set of wheels give the model a sporty and elevated look. Similar to its predecessor, the vehicle also comes with the Active Brake Assist and PRE-SAFE and Blind Spot Assist features for a safer driving experience.
