All The Famous People Who Attended the Royal Wedding
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, tied the knot on Saturday, 19 May 2018, to much fanfare and international attention.
And it wasn’t just royals and England’s nobility who attended the ceremony at St George’s Chapel; a whole cast of celebrities was among the 200-ish people who witnessed firsthand the marriage of the 33-year-old British prince and 36-year-old American actress.
UNRESERVED May cover star Idris Elba and his fiancée Sabrina Dhowre were there, and so were Meghan’s Suits co-stars, Elton John (who performed at the lunchtime reception), Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, the Beckhams and the Clooneys (they were pretty much the best-dressed couple present, thanks to Amal’s gorgeous honey yellow Stella McCartney dress; George looked okay, too).
Some of the guests were lucky enough to be seated in the nave of the chapel, including George and Amal, Oprah, Serena and her Reddit co-founder husband Alexis Ohanian.
Meghan’s wedding dress was the talk of town – she wore a simple but elegant boat-necked long-sleeved dress designed by Givenchy artistic director Clare Waight Keller. Her 5-metre veil featured hand-embroidered florals at the trim, which pays tribute to all 53 Commonwealth nations. In the evening, Meghan changed into a halter-neck Stella McCartney gown before Harry (looking smashing in a tuxedo) drove them both in a powder blue Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero to Frogmore House for the private reception.
