This Festival Aims to Help Malaysians Feel Less Guilty After 11.11 and 12.12
Did you get bitten by the 11.11 shopping bug? Bought everything in your wishlist, only to pile it up again for 12.12?
We get it, it’s no simple task to resist hitting “proceed to checkout” when you’ve scored an amazing discount, but understanding how to spend wisely is exactly what Malaysians need to learn as the country progresses towards a digital economy.
Held in Putrajaya’s Precint 2 on 28-29 December 2019, the LIFT Festival is in-line with the Minister of Finance, Lim Guan Eng’s aim to future-proof the country’s economy. “The festival is not just about enhancing financial literacy but also to empower the public by providing information on the latest financial and technological developments in the digital economy,” Lim said.
In-line with the initiative, LIFT arrives to help build a digital Malaysia and to empower the people to make informed decisions towards the adoption of digital culture. Directed by renowned George Town Festival director Joe Sidek and in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the two-day event will feature platforms for members of the public to experience the latest digital financial services.
