Official Photos of the Royal Wedding Are Here

Perks of being a royal: your wedding photos come back perfect in two days.
Tuesday 22 May 2018

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have released the official photographs from their wedding day. And gosh, are they beautiful.

The wedding party was photographed by Alexi Lubomirski, who also took the couple’s engagement photos.

There are only three photographs for the world to adore – there may be more portraits from the day, but those will probably never reach your eyes, sorry – but they are a beautiful conclusion to what has been the wedding of the year.

The group photographs, taken on Saturday afternoon at Windsor Castle after the ceremony and couple’s carriage procession, feature the bride and groom alongside their cast of bridesmaids and page boys, which include Prince George and Princess Charlotte. A larger group photograph also features the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The latter couple’s third child, Prince Louis was notably absent from the photos (he is barely a month old, so it’s a given).

Note the serious side-eye action from bridesmaid sitting on Charlotte’s right in the second photo, i.e. what is arguably the cutest photograph on earth at this moment.

A third photo of just Harry and Meghan, both with infectious beams on their faces, was taken in black and white.

Prince Harry and Meghan tied the knot at St George’s Chapel in front of an intimate crowd of family and friends, but as per their wishes, the ceremony was also made available to watch on various television and online channels across the globe. The wedding has been confirmed as this year’s most-watched television event in the UK.
