Sol Campbell Thinks France is the Best Team in the World Cup
A stalwart of English football, Sol Campbell is a familiar face to most football fans.
Having started his career at Tottenham, he made his controversial move to Arsenal after nine years, where he, as part of ‘The Invincibles’ (along with fellow ex-Gunner Gilberto Silva), enjoyed considerable success after they remained undefeated in their 2003-2004 season.
His physical prowess, defense and strong tackling ability have lead him to be regarded as one of the best centre-backs of his generation, and his subsequent time in the English Premier League saw him play for Portsmouth (where he captained them to victory in the 2008 FA Cup final), Notts County and Newcastle.
An impressive international career saw him as the second youngest captain of the England squad at the age of 23 and his 11 years spent on the national squad saw him win 73 caps. Here’s how he thinks the rest of the World Cup is going to play out.
