American musician and lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls John Reznik has said, “A little renovation and reinvention is a positive thing”, and with the launch of an all-new The Starhill Dining, that is definitely a refresh that is welcome during a time when outlooks are looking a little bleak and experiences are starting to stale since we have been unable to travel. Come December 2020, the new concept will bring forth a new world of dining and entertaining that is bound to excite the senses.

With this evolution, The Starhill Dining introduces a group of gourmands and industry experts dubbed the Tastemakers. Lead Designer Zaidan Tahir, known for his work with the stunning The Majestic Kuala Lumpur, The Majestic Malacca and Cameron Highlands Resort, is the mastermind behind the redesign of the space. Thanks to his vision, each dining concept is stylish, inviting and blends the modern and timeless seamlessly.

If you’re looking for ever-changing and interesting menus served in sophisticated surroundings, The Starhill Dining’s different concepts under one rood will serve up just that. The signature Shook! will bring new gastronomic creations and highlight exciting global flavours with an interactive kitchen. Ingredients are sourced from local suppliers around the world to ensure the best and freshest produce is obtained.

Luk Yu Tea House highlights dim sum, Cantonese and Chiu Chow (Teochew) cuisine that embraces a poetic Chinese heritage. Just the interior itself, which was inspired by Tang Dynasty poet Lu Yu who penned The Classic of Tea, will transport you to back to the historical era. The tea menu is reflective of the famous manuscript, with a selection of fine teas from Taiwan and China that make for the perfect meal pairing.

Purveyors of gin will be thrilled to know that they will be able to pursue The Alchemy’s extensive collection of gin from around the world apart from a selection of craft cocktails. And bringing a touch of New York and a delectable British past time to Kuala Lumpur, you can savour The Alchemy’s version of high tea with the New Yorker Afternoon Tea so you can enjoy pastries and other treats with your friends and sneak in a cheeky cocktail or two.

Other notable dining establishments that are making a comeback are the popular Jogoya restaurant where the freshest sashimi cuts are available and one can dine to their heart’s and stomach’s content, and Tarbush Lounge, serving fine Arabic cuisine.
