Many nightclubs claim to be different from the rest, but not all follow through at the end of the day. The Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York, on the other hand, lives up to that expectation.

For years it has served as both a hotspot for the city’s most fashionable, talked about events and a low-key escape for A-listers looking for a quiet cocktail. It is basically home to Manhattan’s most prominent tastemakers.

In addition, the lounge’s intimate music showcases, known as the Rose Bar Sessions, offer guests exclusive performances from artistes like Guns N’ Roses, BØRNS, Bastille, Bleachers, and The Dandy Warhols.

As per tradition, New Year’s Eve is a non-ticketed party, so it is recommended that guests reserve their tables early. That table will grant you access to elevated bottle service, ensuring this is one of the best party destinations for New Year’s Eve.

L’Arc, Paris

“When you are welcomed inside, you will know that you are one of the select few who are elite enough for this exclusive venue,” says a statement on L’Arc’s website that gives you just a taster of what this nightclub which doubles as a restaurant by day offers its VIP clientele.

If that statement is anything to go by, expect the price range to be on the extortionate side, but this is Paris and it’s New Year’s Eve, so we say why not live a little? For those who enjoy a good playlist filled with the early noughties and R&B hits, expect the DJs at L’Arc to entertain you with the classics.

L’Arc’s New Year bashes are legendary; expect to indulge in some of the finest wines and champagnes, but just make sure you make your reservations well in advance, s’il vous plait.

The Savoy, London

Strategically located on the bank of the River Thames, the luxury destination which boasts a guest list of names such as Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe and in more recent times, Rihanna, is one of the most opulent spots in London to ring in the new year in style.

The Savoy’s Beaufort Bar has had its fair share of legendary New Year’s Eve parties throughout the ages where its black and gold art-deco interiors invite a feeling of extravagance and warmth and offer a spectacular location for some people-watching.

If you’re not one to indulge in parties, book a room overlooking the river where you get an exclusive view of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display or reserve a seat at the hotel’s restaurant to view the fireworks over a glass of champagne and a five-star meal.

The Savoy also offers an extensive variety of the finest champagnes in the world. Speaking of bubbly, this year the hotel is hosting a champagne reception in the River Room with a six-course dinner accompanied by live music and entertainment.

A celebration underneath the stars with the wind blowing in your face sounds like a typical party by the beach, but it’s a totally different tune when the venue is along the island’s bustling Seminyak coastline.

Light It Up is this year’s theme as the hotel wants to inspire guests to shimmer, show-off and shine during the holiday season. The night kicks off with delectable grilled buffet feasts by the beachside at either Fire or Starfish Bloo.

When you pay for the set, you’re buying yourself an epic New Year’s Eve that comes complete with delicious dinner dishes, drinks and tastefully curated music to take you through the night.

You can call it a night after dinner or make your way to the W Lounge or Woobar where guest DJ from Holland, Franky Rizardo follow through the whole night along with the W’s signature fireworks display on Seminyak Beach. This is definitely the place to be if you want to eat, drink and be merry, in one of the best party destinations for New Year’s Eve.
