The Stylish New Range Rover Evoque Has Arrived
Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has officially launched the new 2020 Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV in two variants: the Evoque and Evoque R-Dynamic. The small and premium SUV is a perfect choice that if you want stylish looks and a high-tech interior. Range Rover’s all-new model features some of the fanciest techs of any small SUV. While it doesn’t look particularly futuristic from the outside, though, from the side, the new model looks almost identical to the old Range Rover Evoque.
There are several stunning updates that have been added to give you value for your money. This includes new slim LED headlights and taillights as well as flush door handles. The R-Dynamic variant features more exterior enhancements including burnished copper accents on the front and rear bumpers, and front fender inserts that add to the vehicle’s unique appeal.
The R-Dynamic model also features the first ClearSight Rear View Mirror that transforms into a high-definition (HD) video screen when activated. If rear visibility is compromised by passengers or bulky items, the driver can flip a switch located on the underside of the mirror to activate a camera feed from the top of the car to display the back end of the vehicle. The screen provides a 50-degree field of vision and superior visibility in low light. This groundbreaking model is also fitted with the world’s first ClearSight Ground View technology, allowing the driver to virtually see through the hood and under the front end of the vehicle by projecting a 180-degree view of the ground onto the vehicle’s upper touchscreen.
The new Evoque has more added technologies that will appeal to many. It is the first Land Rover model to feature Smart Settings, a system that uses artificial intelligence algorithms to learn the driver’s preference. It identifies the driver from their key fob and phone with the use of ‘self-learning’ technology, enabling specific seat and steering column position set up upon approach.
It’s infotainment system, the Land Rover InControl® Touch Pro Duo is integral to the vehicle’s digital interior experience. It combines two sleek 10-inch high-definition glass touchscreens and a 12.3-inch driver display behind the steering wheel. The result is a beautiful, ‘hidden until lit’ interior equipped with a state-of-the-art digital interface. It comes in both Evoque and Evoque R-Dynamic variants.

The software that sits behind our infotainment system has been refined to provide a more intuitive customer experience. On top of that, we’ve added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.” The Apple CarPlay connects you to your smartphone while the 4G Wi-Fi hotspot connects you to the internet. This is further accentuated by the Meridian Sound System, which is among the many luxurious features of this car with a total of 11 speakers including a subwoofer.
